Fibre to the Antenna

Bringing power and data to 4G and 5G Radio Heads

Fibre To The Antenna (FTTA) is a broadband network structure concerning the cabling and connectivity equipment used at antenna sites of Mobile Network Operators. This equipment brings power and data to the Radio Heads.

Prysmian Group has engineered first-class hybrid cables and distribution boxes specially designed to be adapted to different scenarios and plug-and-play hybrid drops. These market leading products and solutions provide stable and flexible electrical and optical connections for both 4G and 5G Radio Heads.

The F-series fibre box is a wall/pole mounting box designed for external use with a fibre patch panel for up to 12 LC, SC or MPO adapters. The F-Series Fibre box can be preconfigured to customers exact specification with a combination of inputs and outputs available.

As an aerial enclosure, the M-series FTTA junction box is designed to take a single incoming pre-terminated cable and redistribute to up to 12 RRH jumper cables. The box comes preconfigured to the customer specification ready for fibre only, power only or hybrid external connections.

The FTTA Hybrid junction box is an aerial enclosure designed to take a single incoming pre-terminated hybrid cable and redistribute to up to 4 Hybrid RRH jumper cables. The box comes preconfigured ready for fibre and power connections in the access compartment and external hybrid connections.

The FTTA Jumper assembly is a compact lightweight solution for providing connections between an FTTA junction box and a Remote Radio Head. The connectors provide easy solutions for making the connection between a junction box and the RRH. Both come in a variety of configurations, depending on customer requirements.
