Prysmian highlights of 2023
It’s been another exciting year for Prysmian! Here’s a quick round-up of what happened in 2023…
Our first event was Data Centre World 2023 at ExCel London back in March. It’s the world's largest gathering of data centre professionals and end-users, which gave Prysmian an opportunity to build relationships with leading contractors, specifiers, and distributors to raise our profile in the data centre market. Plans are already in place to make it an even more successful event in 2024.
Also in March, Prysmian attended the Rail Infrastructure Networking (RIN) event at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. RIN London was the ideal place to discuss our products with engineers and system designers who make decisions about the rail network every day. It proved to be a record-breaking event as it was our busiest yet!
Prysmian returned to Railtex this year – the leading one-stop-shop event for the entire railway industry in the UK. The international exhibition took place over three days at NEC Birmingham in May and was the place to be for us to share what Prysmian has to offer the industry.
Prysmian loves meeting electricians face to face and we ran the Wiring Skills Challenge twice this year. Firstly, at the NEC in spring and then at Farnborough in the autumn. One winner even chose to donate his prize to Electrical Industries Charity! Steve Barber, Sales Director, commented: “We highly value the conversations we have with electricians, and they really enjoyed the Prysmian Wiring Skills Challenge. We discussed cable stripability for example and we even had electricians competing head-to-head for their own TikTok channel!”
Prysmian once again attended Connected Britain in September, which brings together the most significant industry experts in the field of telecoms connectivity. Among the highlights were Philippe Vanhille, Executive Vice President Telecom at Prysmian Group, who took part in a riveting panel discussion, which explored the changing investment landscape in the fibre optic market, and Carlos Lopez, Telecom Business Director at Prysmian UK, who took to the stage to discuss his topic Supporting Full Fibre Deployment in the UK. Read our round-up of Connected Britain 2023.
This year we also launched our very own TikTok page! We post satisfying cable content, tips, and tricks and lots of behind-the-scenes action in our UK factories. Why not join the 700 fans who are loving the content so far?
We’re already looking forward to seeing what 2024 brings!
